The next generation of founders and investors? They’ve already started!
A few weeks ago, a group of Angel Academe members came together to run a one-week summer programme for teenagers from within our network. The goal? To give participants a practical, real-world introduction to startup investing and entrepreneurship.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Every participant said it helped shape their understanding of startup investing, their future career plans, and the importance of backing female founders. This was an opportunity to raise awareness among future leaders about the importance of backing diverse teams and the role investors can play in changing the narrative.
Some major thanks are due: Deborah Gruenberger for a Herculean effort in pulling the week together; our members who volunteered to facilitate the sessions; Kingsley Napley for so generously hosting us; and Tess Cossad (Béa Fertility) and Khyati Sundaram (Applied) for taking time out to come and present their businesses. This was a week these young people won’t forget!
