EIS Fund 1 - Fully Deployed!
Just in time for the end of the 2025/26 Financial Year, we completed deployment of Fund 1. The Fund followed our angel investors into 8 investments in innovative & scalable female-founded businesses.
Moving the dial for female founders
Our £200k-400k tickets (angels + fund combined) helped our founders raise nearly £10m in co-investment from leading angels and VCs to supercharge the growth of their fin tech, sustainability, fem tech, med tech and enterprise startups.
We led the funding rounds for 4 of them, supported 6 successful Innovate UK investor partnership applications for non-dilutive match funding (100% success rate!), and attracted co-investment from BBI into 7 of them.

Adora delivers evidence-based, personalised healthcare and specialist services to women as they start their perimenopause journey (B2B). 10 AA angels participated in this follow-on round for us alongside the AA EIS Fund and notable co-investors including Richard Fearn, Cambridge Angels & Araya Ventures.
Aflo’s smart inhaler platform improves management, symptom control and patient monitoring for asthma and COPD patients (B2B). 4 AA angels participated alongside the AA EIS Fund as well as notable investors including Andrea Sinclair, Gillian McColgan, Mary McKenna & Awaken Angels.
FDA-cleared and live in all 50 US states, Béa Fertility offers clinical-grade at-home intracervical insemination kits that achieve a 39% pregnancy rate and bridge the gap between natural conception and IVF at a fraction of the cost. 7 AA angels participated in this follow-on round for us alongside the AA EIS Fund as well as a new US specialist healthcare VC.
Open banking covers bank accounts. DataWollet covers everything else - pensions, mortgages, payslips, insurance - with proprietary, logic-based AI that's typically 100% accurate, cuts onboarding time by up to 80% and boosts conversion by 26%. 8 AA angels participated alongside the AA EIS Fund in a £1.3m round led by 1818 VC and including notable angel investor Sarah Gardner Williams.
LabCycle is the world's first company to create a closed-loop circular economy for single-use plastic waste from labs by recycling contaminated waste into 100% recycled lab consumables. 6 AA angels participated alongside the AA EIS Fund as well as QantX, The British Design Fund and Angel Investors Bristol.
Preactiv’s prehabilitation platform helps hospitals optimise patients before major surgery or cancer treatment through personalised programmes costing about 90% less than traditional face-to-face services. 6 AA angels participated alongside the AA EIS Fund and Exceptional Ventures.
The trusted data layer for agentic commerce. Provenance powers enriched product data attributes for 300+ brands and retailers including L’Oreal, Holland & Barrett, THG, Unilever, LVMH, Diageo and Ocado, positioning it as the trusted infrastructure layer for AI discovery and values-driven commerce. 10 AA angels participated in this follow-on round for us alongside the AA EIS Fund as well as notable co-investors John Taysom, DCG, S4S Ventures, Fiftyfive Capital & Wakeup Capital.
Zonova is dedicated to eliminating hospital-acquired infections by embedding antimicrobial technology directly into medical devices to stop bacterial growth at the source. 9 AA angels participated in this follow-on investment for us alongside the AA EIS Fund in a round jointly led by AA and Thena Capital, with participation from Conduit Connect & Araya Ventures.
Despite a gloomy backdrop
Beauhurst’s State of UK Investment report said “2025 could mark the lowest deal volume since 2014” and that seed round sizes were down by 40% to £940k so we’re particularly proud with what we’ve been able to help our founders achieve.
