Lara Mott joins as second EIR

Lara Mott is an experienced senior leader, founder and adviser with more than 20 years' experience spanning healthcare, technology, life sciences, private equity and venture-backed businesses.

As Co-founder and CEO of ImproveWell, Lara spent nine years building a multi-award-winning SaaS platform that was adopted by thousands of teams across more than 80 NHS organisations, expanded internationally and was ultimately acquired by Silicon Practice in 2025.

Throughout her career, Lara has operated at the intersection of healthcare, technology and investment. Prior to founding ImproveWell, she held senior leadership roles across healthcare private equity, biotechnology and investor relations, supporting fundraising, growth and strategic communications for both public and private companies, including GHO Capital, Circassia Pharmaceuticals and Oxford BioMedica.

Having experienced the realities of entrepreneurship firsthand, from fundraising and scaling to acquisition, Lara is passionate about supporting founders through the challenges of building successful businesses. She has served as Entrepreneur in Residence at BMJ, mentored founders through DigitalHealth.London's Leap programme and now works with entrepreneurs, investors and leadership teams as an adviser, mentor and board member. She also serves as a Governor at Kingston Grammar School and Entrepreneur in Residence at Angel Academe.

Lara was recognised as one of In Vivo's Rising Leaders in Life Sciences and holds a first-class degree in Pharmacology from the University of Bristol, where she was awarded the Hans Heller Memorial Prize for Outstanding Performance.
