Introducing our first EIR

Please join me in welcoming Khyati back to Angel Academe, this time as our first Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR). Khyati Sundaram is a two-time founder and exited CEO with a decade of operating experience in enterprise SaaS. Her most recent company, Applied, was backed by Angel Academe members in its pre-seed and seed rounds.

Applied is a data science-backed hiring platform built on structured models and predictive analytics. Khyati took it from 0->1 to acquisition by Phenom in 2026, having scaled Applied to 500+ customers across the UK and US and reaching profitability.

Her operating background spans the full capital lifecycle: pre-seed through Series A, board management, GTM scaling, and M&A. She thinks in incentive structures, data models, and unit economics. She has a CFA, an MSc Economics from LSE, and an MBA from LBS and Wharton.

She speaks and publishes across forums such as London Tech Week, Harvard, and Forbes on AI, enterprise software, and the product network effects.

Having been on the founder side of the table through every stage, including the moments nobody writes about, she now volunteers her time to help early-stage founders and angels find each other. She works with both sides: helping founders sharpen their story, their numbers, their ask; and helping angels develop conviction on category and team before they commit.
